If the ‘travel bug’ exists, I caught it. Over the past four years, I’ve taken summer trips to Europe, backpacking along the Italian coastline, the French Riviera, the Greek Islands, the Swiss Alps and Great Britain. I definitely could have started this travel blog a while back but I wouldn’t have been able to offer the same insight that I have now in regards to planning – tickets, lodging and local transportation for example. I’m a do-it-yourself traveler with hopes of being a resource for leisure travelers that enjoy immersing themselves in local culture,  seeing iconic landmarks and taking advantage of all the area has to offer.

My background includes journalism, design and photography. My interest in traveling was ingrained in me as a child. Born and raised in England, my mother has inadvertently educated me about English traditions. I am a dual citizen and find myself instituting traditions like Boxing Day and Christmas crackers with my family and friends.

I hope you enjoy my blog and take the opportunity to help fellow travelers by adding your suggestions and feedback in the comment sections.
